Hear our humble prayer, o god, for our friends, the animals, especially for animals who are suffering: For all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars;
We especially thank you for giving us our pets who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.

God of all goodness, look with love on those who wait for the safe return of their loved ones who serve in the armed forces of their country. Ease his/her fear and pain and guide the vet and all caring for him/her, that he/she may recover fully.
